RESCUE DISPATCH - FALL 2026

CEO/Founder, Kimmy Chandler

13 fragile lives.

14 days in round-the-clock isolation.

A story of survival.

On September 25th, our team faced an impossible moment at an overcrowded county shelter. Two litters, including seven 4-month-old hound babies and five tiny puppies with their gentle mama dog (we've named her Journey) were facing immediate euthanasia due to a severe parvovirus outbreak. Thanks to quick action and your continuous backing, we pulled all 13 into emergency isolation. We have named these survivors as follows if you would like to follow their stories: Kenny Rogers 🌈, Smokey, Tennessee, Porter, Loretta, Jolene, Dolly, Journey, Scout, Traveler, Destiny, Odessa and Horizon.

SURVIVAL RATE

99%

Against overwhelming odds, 11 of the 12 puppies and mama (Journey) are out of critical danger and thriving.

Behind closed doors: Two weeks of intense dedication

Rescue Staff & Volunteers, Re-tail Staff & Volunteers, Founder/CEO, Kimmy Chandler & Rescue Manager, Angela, set up 24/7 watches, providing fluid therapies, constant sanitization, and gentle reassurance.

Animal rescue carries profound emotional and physical exhaustion, but witnessing this family take their first joyful steps outside of ISO (isolation) makes every sleepless night worthwhile.

Our Fluff Fam is heartbroken to announce that one pup, we named him Kenny Rogers, lost his battle after being treated at a local emergency hospital. We thank every single compassionate human that touched his little fragile soul and did everything in our Super Powers that could be done to save his life.

SUPPORT THEIR RECOVERY

STRENGTH IN COMMUNITY

None of this happens in isolation.

Saving medically vulnerable animals requires an entire ecosystem of compassion. We extend our deepest gratitude to our tirelessly dedicated staff, selfless volunteers, compassionate veterinary partners, and donors whose rapid contributions fund emergency medicine and specialized diets.
