WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A VOLUNTEER?

Volunteers are crucial to the animal welfare world and especially for FLUFF Animal Rescue.  Without volunteers, we simply would not be able to do what we do.

Volunteers help us save lives, every, single, day.

WHAT KIND OF VOLUNTEERING CAN I DO?

TRANSPORT: Often times, animals will need transport from one area of the state to another, or maybe just a quick drive across town to an adoption event, medical appointment, or better yet, an adoptive home!

​SPECIAL EVENTS & FUNDRAISERS:  FLUFF Animal Rescue holds events offsite and at the Rehab Center ongoing.  These fundraisers and events help to fund our rescue efforts and are very important to support our efforts.  From representing our organization at a Fluff table, to curating raffle and auctions, this is an opportunity to showcase your love and for our mission and mingle with supporters.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A FOSTER?

A foster family cares for our rescue animals in their home until the animal is adopted.

The foster family is one of the most important roles, as without fosters, we would not be able to rescue as many dogs and cats as we do.

The more foster families we have, the more animals we can rescue from high kill shelters.

It’s sometimes hard to give up a foster pet, once you care for him/her, but remember their heart still beats because you opened your heart & home, and you get to do it all over again with your next foster!

It does get easier and is a wonderfully rewarding experience for the whole family.

Especially when you see happy ending photos of your foster with their new family.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR MY OWN SUPPLIES?

Fluff provides all supplies for the animal while with their foster family.

HOW LONG WILL I BE A FOSTER?

The foster family cares for the animal until adoption which may be anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months.

WHAT IF I FOSTER FAIL?

As a Foster Pawrent, you will sometimes find that you are indeed the best fit for your foster animal and want to adopt.  You will be the first candidate. :)
