Rollie's Story
Rollie is a 3½ year old brindle terrier mix who was returned to his foster after a 3 month adoption. It turned out when over stimulated in a large group of dogs, his dominant traits would come out. DNA testing has revealed he’s 25% Pit-bull terrier, 25% German Sheppard, 25% Staffordshire terrier and the remaining 25% is a mix including French bulldog. This makes Rollie a 35lbs compact muscle machine (a little guy with a big personality) who likes to play, but he can be a little rough when playing. He would love to be in a family with either large dogs so he can rough house with them, or be a single dog. A hooman that works from home would be ideal. He is very smart, he loves dog puzzles and would probably be great with agility and obedience training. He is a good leash walker, he leaves the ducks and birds alone in the park, but is easily distracted by squirrels. In the past he has had issues with small children, but it seems he has overcome this, he has been great at family dinners with a 3 year old and a 9 month old. He is afraid of thunder, but does better when wearing his thunder shirt. Rollie loves to cuddle and snuggle, he is always around his fosters. When left alone, he likes to gather a collection of toys around him, but sometimes his interpretation of dog toys might be different than yours…
