From Nova's Foster Mom:
Nova is a very sweet and loving girl. Her tail is FOREVER wagging no matter what time of day or night it is. Although Nova's story is a sad one, having lost her home and family suddenly in Hurricane Sally, Nova loves affection and really enjoys head scratches and belly rubs. Overall, she is very well behaved… she stays off of the furniture, is house trained and hardly ever barks. She was in my house for almost a month before I heard her bark! (and that was because I forgot I had a treat in my hand that she wanted). She didn’t even bark when I vacuumed my house, I have never been around a dog who ignores the vacuum! She doesn’t respond to her name all that well, but she does listen to most basic commands (sit, stay, come, good girl, no, etc.) She loves her toys. Don’t give her anything with stuffing, it won't last more than 15 minutes. But stronger chew toys and ropes will entertain her for hours. And she LOVES tug of war. She likes hanging out in the backyard and has successfully chased away all bunnies and squirrels who were previous residents. She has met a few dogs and is ok when leashed but is much preferred to be an only dog of the house. We will go on walks through the neighborhood. She usually maxes out around the one-mile mark but loves to get out.
Overall, Nova is a very good companion. She is very relaxed, independent and extremely loving.
